Outgrowing Wisetack’s limits? Compare Wisetack alternatives with higher loan amounts, longer terms, and multi-lender approvals.
Updated October 2026 · Published by Contractor Financing Solutions
Choosing among Wisetack alternatives comes down to how your cash flow holds up as contracts get bigger. Wisetack is built for service calls and mid-size repairs: monthly payment options appear on estimates and invoices inside Jobber, Housecall Pro, and Workiz, transaction fees start at 3.9%, there is no subscription, and homeowner plans carry no deferred interest. It pays your business directly, but only after the customer confirms the work is done.
The operational differences show up on larger contracts. Wisetack raised its limit from $25,000 to $65,000 on June 15, 2026, though some partner software still lists the old cap, and its Progress Payments option stops at $25,000. Below, we compare six alternatives on loan limits, contractor cost, when you get paid, and software fit.
Executive Summary
Stay with Wisetack if most of your financed tickets are service calls and repairs under $25,000 and you already run supported software. The fee is published, and there is no setup cost.
Switch to a staged-funding lender such as GreenSky or Momnt if waiting for final sign-off strains your cash on multi-week projects. Both pay you in customer-approved draws as the work moves forward.
Consider Contractor Financing Solutions if you want access to additional lenders, programs for prime, near-prime, and subprime credit, or financing above Wisetack's $65,000 limit. CFS can also complement an existing financing platform.
Editorial Disclosure: Contractor Financing Solutions publishes this guide and is included as one of the alternatives below. Details come from each provider’s published information as of October 2026 and may change. Confirm current terms, fees, and eligibility with each provider before you enroll.
Loan amounts are advertised maximums. Approved amounts, rates, and terms depend on the borrower’s credit and each lender’s criteria. “Not published” means the provider does not list the figure publicly.

Wisetack is a financing platform, not a bank. Its lending partners page lists Hatch Bank, U.S. Bank, and Happen Bank, and in April 2026 LendingClub began originating loans of up to $65,000 through Wisetack, which it said is embedded with more than 40,000 contractors. Wisetack's site names integrations including Jobber, Housecall Pro, JobNimbus, FieldPulse, PaintScout, and WorkWave, and Workiz runs its own Wisetack integration. Wisetack does not list ServiceTitan.
Your customer gets a text or link, checks eligibility without affecting their credit score, and picks from up to six offers, with terms from 3 months to 10 years (some services are limited to shorter terms). On June 15, 2026, Wisetack raised its limit from $25,000 to $65,000 for qualified customers on eligible projects such as roofing, HVAC, remodeling, and pools. Partner pages don't all match yet: Housecall Pro advertises up to $65,000, while the Workiz Wisetack FAQ says financing appears automatically on estimates of $500 to $25,000 and the higher limit may not be live on every account. Before you switch, ask Wisetack or your software provider whether $65,000 is available to you and which project types qualify.
Wisetack has no setup or subscription fee. Transaction fees start at 3.9%, which includes a 3-month interest-free option; longer interest-free options of 6, 12, or 24 months cost more, and Wisetack doesn't publish those rates. To enroll, Workiz says a business typically needs at least $150,000 in annual revenue (or $15,000 a month for the last three months), an EIN, and a business license held for at least a year.
At the starting rate, Wisetack's fee is $312 on an $8,000 HVAC replacement and $1,755 on a $45,000 remodel. CFS charges an enrollment fee plus merchant fees from 3.9%, and GreenSky and Momnt don't publish their fees. Hearth charges a flat yearly subscription instead, so its cost per sale falls as your financed volume grows. Acorn costs you nothing, but the homeowner receives the funds, so the financed amount stays an account receivable you collect under your contract. On larger projects, the bigger cost question is often timing rather than rate.
By default, Wisetack pays once, at the end. The customer confirms the work is complete and releases the funds, then Wisetack sends the money the next business day by ACH, and your bank can take one to three more business days to post it. Deposits can't be financed, so you collect any deposit separately and finance the rest. On a one-day water heater swap, that timing barely matters. On a six-week remodel where you buy materials and pay crews in week one, you carry those costs until the customer signs off.
Wisetack's answer is Progress Payments, which split a project into two releases: up to 50% when the customer signs the contract and the rest at completion. Each payment must be at least $500, the two combined can't exceed $25,000, and you need separate approval. Wisetack lists at least $5 million in annual revenue or five or more years in business, plus a guarantee, a cancellation policy, a refund policy, and a low card dispute rate. Progress Payments also work only through certain software, such as the Wisetack Portal, PaintScout, and Contractor+. A financed contract above $25,000 is paid in one release at the end.
Alternatives that fund in stages, like GreenSky, Momnt, and some CFS programs, are built for multi-week projects. Alternatives that fund the homeowner, like Acorn and Hearth, cost you nothing per loan but leave collection to you. Our guide to in-house vs. third-party financing covers the broader tradeoffs.
Contractor Financing Solutions is a multi-lender marketplace, not a lender: one application reaches 30+ participating lenders with prime, near-prime, and subprime programs, and homeowners see offers through a soft credit check. Eligible homeowners can borrow up to $100,000 with terms up to 20 years, depending on the lender, and some programs pay you directly with staged funding on larger projects, while others fund the homeowner.
Pros
+ Loans up to $100,000 and terms up to 20 years with some lenders.
+ Staged funding paid to your business on larger projects in some programs.
+ Near-prime and subprime programs give more customers a lender to try.
Cons
− Charges an enrollment fee that Wisetack doesn't, plus merchant fees from 3.9% depending on the program (some $0 dealer fee options).
GreenSky is one of the largest home improvement programs, with loans made by bank partners and credit limits up to $100,000. You charge the customer’s GreenSky account, the customer approves each charge by text or email, and you are paid within two business days. Progress payments are allowed up to your staged funding limit, and GreenSky says staged funding lets roofing, window, and remodeling customers finance their down payment. Its promotional plans are deferred interest, and it doesn’t publish its per-transaction fee. See our full GreenSky alternatives review.
Pros
+ Paid as the project progresses, not only at completion.
+ Same-day payment possible with the customer’s authorization.
+ Large, bank-funded program with terms up to 12 years, per NerdWallet.
Cons
− Transaction fees are not published, unlike Wisetack’s published starting rate.
− Deferred-interest promos can leave homeowners with back interest if they miss the payoff date.
− Bank partners focus mainly on higher-credit borrowers.
Momnt is a point-of-sale lending platform for home improvement and energy contractors. Its home improvement program lists credit limits of $3,100 to $75,000 and terms of 24 to 180 months, with same-as-cash, fixed-payment, fixed-rate, and zero-interest products. You enter the amount to draw in the Momnt portal, the customer approves by text, and the money arrives by same-day or next-day ACH, with staged funding available. Momnt doesn’t publish dealer fees but says it saves merchants 10% to 50% on them compared with other options.
Pros
+ You request draws yourself, and the customer approves by text.
+ Same-day or next-day ACH once a draw is approved.
+ Terms up to 15 years keep payments manageable on larger projects.
Cons
− $3,100 minimum rules out the small tickets Wisetack handles well.
− Dealer fees are not published, so cost comparisons take a sales call.
− Runs in its own portal rather than inside field service apps.
If you run ServiceTitan, which Wisetack doesn’t integrate with, Service Finance is the natural fit. It is a licensed sales finance company and FHA Title I lender that Truist Bank agreed to buy for about $2 billion in 2021. Its site lists more than fifty promotional and standard installment plans for HVAC, roofing, windows, plumbing, and other trades. Inside ServiceTitan, technicians show “as low as” monthly payments on estimates, and you request funds for completed jobs in the Dealer Portal.
Pros
+ Native ServiceTitan workflow, with control over which plans technicians see.
+ Large plan menu, including promotional terms for bigger equipment sales.
+ Backed by a large bank.
Cons
− Loan limits and dealer fees are not published.
− Funds are requested after the work is complete, so it doesn’t solve mid-project cash flow.
− One lender, so a declined customer has no second option in the program.
Hearth trades per-loan fees for a subscription. Hearth says its subscription costs $1,499 to $4,999 a year, plus a one-time $99 setup fee listed on its comparison pages, with no dealer fee on personal loans of $1,000 to $250,000 from its lender marketplace (18+ lenders, per Hearth). The homeowner gets the full loan amount, and you collect on the payment schedule you agree on, using tools like Hearth Pay that come with membership. For a cost breakdown, see Hearth pricing explained.
Pros
+ Highest advertised loan ceiling in this comparison.
+ Flat yearly cost, so a $60,000 contract costs you no more than a $6,000 one.
+ Homeowner has the money before work starts, so you can set your own deposit and draw schedule.
Cons
− Subscription is due even in slow months when you finance little.
− You collect from the homeowner, which adds collection risk.
− Overlaps with tools you may already pay for in Jobber or Housecall Pro.
Acorn Finance is free for contractors with no setup costs and no monthly fees, because lenders pay Acorn when a loan originates. Homeowners prequalify with a soft credit check and compare personal loan offers of up to $100,000 from multiple lenders. The lender deposits the money with the homeowner, who pays you under your contract. The Handoff Acorn FAQ says funds are often sent within about one business day after the homeowner selects a lender. More detail is in our Acorn Finance alternatives guide.
Pros
+ No dealer fee, so a large project costs you nothing extra to finance.
+ Homeowners compare several lenders’ offers at once.
+ Funds can land before work starts, so you can collect a deposit on your terms.
Cons
− Money goes to the homeowner, so you carry the collection risk.
− No interest-free promotions advertised, unlike Wisetack’s short-term options.
− No staged funding paid to your business.

While Wisetack pays contractors after the customer confirms the work and caps Progress Payments at $25,000, contractors managing multi-phase projects, mixed-credit customers, or tight project cash flow may need more flexible funding structures.
Contractor Financing Solutions (CFS) is a multi-lender marketplace, not a lender. It connects contractors with 30+ participating lenders offering programs for a range of credit profiles and project needs. Where Wisetack tops out at $65,000 and 10-year terms, CFS programs reach $100,000 and 20-year terms, depending on the lender, and some support staged funding on larger projects.
For more options, see our Momnt alternatives guide and our best contractor financing companies roundup.
If you're adding financing for the first time or expanding your current options, CFS can help you compare programs by typical project size, customer mix, and payment preferences.
Contractor Financing Solutions is not a lender. Financing is provided by participating third-party lenders. Approval, rates, loan amounts, terms, and funding arrangements vary by program and borrower qualifications.
We compared each provider with Wisetack on maximum loan amount and how widely it is available, contractor cost (enrollment, subscription, and per-transaction fees), when and how you get paid, the credit range each program serves, promotional options, and fit with field service software. Sources were each provider's website and help center, partner help centers from Jobber, Housecall Pro, Workiz, and ServiceTitan, press releases, and NerdWallet, all checked in October 2026. Where a provider does not publish a figure, we say so, and we left out APRs because they vary by lender and borrower credit.
Wisetack's standard range was $500 to $25,000 for years. On June 15, 2026, it raised the limit to $65,000 for qualified customers on eligible projects such as roofing, HVAC, remodeling, and pools. Some partner software, such as Workiz, says the higher limit may not yet be available on every account.
By default, after the customer confirms the work is complete and releases the funds. Wisetack then sends the money the next business day by ACH, and your bank may take one to three more business days to post it. Partner help centers describe the total as roughly one to three business days.
Only through Progress Payments, which require separate approval and are available only in certain software. You can receive up to 50% when the customer signs the contract and the rest at completion, but the two payments combined can't exceed $25,000.
Wisetack has no setup or subscription fee, and transaction fees start at 3.9%. That rate includes a 3-month interest-free option for qualified customers, while longer interest-free options of 6, 12, or 24 months carry a higher fee that Wisetack does not publish. On a $25,000 project, the starting fee is $975.
The Workiz Wisetack FAQ says a business must be based in the U.S. and typically needs at least $150,000 in annual revenue (or $15,000 a month for the last three months), an EIN, and a business license held for at least one year. Progress Payments have stricter requirements, including $5 million or more in annual revenue or five or more years in business.
No. The Workiz Wisetack FAQ says checking eligibility does not affect the customer's credit score. Accepting an offer and the customer's repayment history may affect their credit afterward.
Wisetack does not list ServiceTitan among its software integrations as of October 2026. Its listed partners include Jobber, Housecall Pro, JobNimbus, FieldPulse, and PaintScout. If you run ServiceTitan, Service Finance has a native ServiceTitan integration.
Contractor Financing Solutions, GreenSky, and Acorn Finance advertise loans up to $100,000, Momnt goes up to $75,000, and Hearth lists up to $250,000. If you also want to be paid as the work progresses, look at GreenSky, Momnt, and CFS programs with staged funding. Acorn and Hearth fund the homeowner instead.
Wisetack remains a strong fit for service businesses that want built-in financing on small and mid-size tickets and can wait for the customer's sign-off to get paid. The best Wisetack alternatives make sense when your projects run past what Wisetack approves on your account, when you need draws as the work moves forward, or when customers across a wider credit range need a lender. If you want more programs and a second option alongside Wisetack, compare a multi-lender marketplace like CFS.

Contractor Financing Solutions is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. Financing is offered by independent participating lenders. Loan approval, available amounts, APRs, repayment terms, and funding timelines vary by lender, borrower qualifications, and applicable state requirements. Checking available offers uses a soft credit check that won’t impact credit scores; a hard inquiry may occur only if a borrower chooses an offer and submits a full application. Non-recourse arrangements are subject to the applicable lender and contractor agreements and do not eliminate obligations arising from fraud, refunds, cancellations, or contractual disputes.
